I just purchased a chuck (ER11) to use. It has 13 collets so I can go down to 1 mm. It has a 1/2 shank. I could have gone larger but the grinder does great by itself. So I didnt need any help with the chuck. I played with the collet chuck and found a sweet spot and it will chuck each time under .001.
