Baldor 500 Tool Grinder | The Hobby-Machinist

I have a late 1950's version of this grinder. I was missing parts, and got them from the Harbor Freight clone parts list. They were an exact fit. I have also seen and bought parts on Ebay (Baldor parts). You have to keep the search on. The wheels you can get at MSC or other sources. I have one white, one diamond.

If I could afford it, I'd buy another "Square Wheel" belt grinder like I had in the shop that I sold. I think that with a Baldor type carbide grinder, it is easier to maintain specific clearance angles on turning tools than on a common grinder that uses ordinary grinding wheels such as those used on a common bench grinder or a belt grinder.
