Belt Drive and Pulley Ratios. Speaking of Belt Drives, you'll probably use one to drive your spindle. It's not hard to figure out what ratios you need. You know the motor's rpm (typically either 1700 or 3400'ish), you know how much the VFD will overdrive the motor (which BTW can really shorten the life on the motor if taken to extremes).
ادامه مطلبThis meant installing the mill on a board with a dedicated motor. Most electric motors, however, operate at an rpm that is much too high to properly mill grain—usually around 1750 rpm. The most common solution for this problem is to use a belt and pulley system to reduce the speed down to a workable rpm.

An adjustable overhead arm containing one or more arbor supports projects forward from the top of the column. The arm and arbor supports are used to stabilize long arbors. Supports can be moved along the overhead arm to support the arbor where support is desired
