My apologies for the confusion, The Silvey 510 is for grinding round chain. My attempt with the Tecomec is to make the vice similar to the Silvey system for round chain. I have thought about getting a square grinder but of what I cut is very dirty and chains often don't last a half a tank of fuel.

I modified a cheap Tecomec to a Silvey style pawl system and have a vitrified wheel on it contoured with a diamond so the top of raker maintains the rounded shape of OEM chain. This makes it much smoother in cutting and allows bore cutting easier. Here is my set up right now with a Silvey 510, Oregon 511AX and a modified Tecomec.

It's a round grinder only. Where are you seeing a square tooth? If it's in the manual then it is a recycled image. Most of their grinders were probably square grinders. The documentation isn't real sophisticated, but the grinders are built like a brick house. Edit: I see it on the motor decal, again same motor on different grinders.
